The Happy Pig’s story began in 2015 when, in search of a simpler life, more connected to nature and our food, we packed up our family (two fur babies) and moved to the country (ie East Tennessee). By being good stewards of the land and raising animals free of confinement in a natural environment, our goal is to re-establish the almost-lost art of grass farming.

The purpose of this blog is to chronicle our (mis)adventures as we tackle farm life while renovating a much neglected farm and home. If you get a chance, come see the farm.  We love visitors and will find a way for you to  join in the good life for an afternoon.
