Renovation Update – Week 29

Before I update you on what we did last week, I’d like to talk about what is happening in our neck of the woods right now. Last night, tornado activity caused extensive damage in Athens, a small town to our south, and wildfire is still raging to our east in the Gatlinburg area. So many people and animals have been displaced from these rural communities. If you are able and would like to help, the Red Cross is taking $10 donation by text, text the word REDCROSS to 90999.

Now, on to less depressing (depends on your prospective) news.

Last week was a milestone week for us. As I mentioned in the 28.5 update, we now have FULLY FUNCTIONING INDOOR PLUMBING. It is nothing fancy, but it is 100% functional.

Fully functioning bathroom with hot water and everything!

We also have a functional front door!

Pay no attention to the holes in the trim that need to be filled. That is a good looking door!

hello gorgeous!

With the Thanksgiving holiday cooking/eating/relaxing we didn’t get anymore work done, but we did take advantage of the amazing Black Friday sale at Sears and purchased a gas stove, dishwasher, and a microwave.
